The people with the “inside track” on being true followers of Jesus are not those who are the most moral, but those who have the greatest self-awareness (along with Jesus-awareness) and therefore love the most.
One of the things that makes love so hard to live out is that we have an Enemy who is determined to separate us from God any way he can. Join us today as we explore how we can take our stand with God (and His love) against this Enemy.
God is the source of all love because He is love personified; His nature as a three-in-one God shows us that love is not something that God does from time to time, but something that He is – and He created us to share in that love.
None of us is good at loving as God does, which is why He graciously teaches us to love by loving us first and offering us His love. When we receive it and learn to remain in it, He gives us the ability to reciprocate His love and then redirect it to those around us.
We all long to be “successful,” but it’s important to understand how God defines success. While we might be tempted to think that success = obedience (or discipline), God has defined success as loving Him. If this is true, our goals and pursuits must change.
