When we break our promises to be faithful to God and faithful to our spouses, we can count on God to serve us up some “chin music” to expose our selfishness and get our attention before our relationships with Him (and our spouses) are damaged beyond repair.
We wear God out when we accuse Him of denying His people justice and favoring the wicked. God wants us to know that He is coming in judgment of the wicked…and of the righteous, so we need to be prepared.
When we give God our leftovers, we reveal both a profound disrespect for God and a diminished understanding of His great worth. This is something that God will not tolerate in those who wish to enjoy a good relationship with Him.
God values our relationship with Him too much to let us drift away from Him; therefore He exposes our doubting hearts, reassuring us that God has chosen us and will keep His promises to us.
