To Know Him and Make Him Known
The Christian claim that Jesus rose from the dead is certainly hard to believe. But what if it really did happen? What would that mean for us? What implications would it have for everyday life? Join us this Easter morning as we try to answer this question from the Scriptures.
We want to see people saved! Acts 16 shows us how. The church in this chapter formed as God saved a businesswoman, a demon-possessed girl, and a jailer’s family. All were saved by God’s grace, each in a different circumstance. God can reach all – and is glad to use us in the process.
Processing all that happened at the first Easter can be overwhelming; sometimes we just need to get back to the basics. Join us this morning as we discuss the “basic” events of Easter and what they have to do with our lives today!
The final phase in God’s plan to show the world what He was truly like was a surprising one – to replicate the character and glory of Jesus in His followers and then send them out to show the world what He is like. Have you embraced the privilege?
Jesus wanted us to know, as we wait for the Kingdom, that He would one day come back to the earth, both to reunite with His people and to rule and judge humanity. This should encourage us to be ready and eager for that day to come! SHOW MORE
It was only natural for the disciples to want God’s Happy Ending for the world immediately – they’d been through so much! But Jesus challenged them to be patient, for they had work to do first. The good news was that they’d have help along the way, and their happy ending was soon to come.
